Child abuse is a serious matter. It is one matter that should not be ignored. It can be found in forms of physical and/or emotional injury, medical and/or physical neglect, and sexual abuse.

Physical abuse consist of frequent injuries such as bruises, cuts, black eyes, or burns. If the child is unable to explain the cause of the injury, it is a possible sign of physical abuse. Aggressive, destructive, disruptive, emotionless, or withdrawn are behavioral signs of physical abuse.

Malnourishment, lack of personal cleanliness, dirty clothes, unattended for long period of times, and begging for food are just a few signs of child neglect.

Surveys show that 85-90% of sexual abuse is done by people they know. Such as parents, siblings, grandparents, babysitters, and teachers. Children may not tell of the sexual abuse for fear of violence to someone they love or to themself. They may feel embarrassed, guilty and responsible because they were not able to say no to the offender.

For children are one of God's precious miracles, so lets try and stop the abuse.
